What is DST
Dynamic Stability
Training (DST) is a fitness system comprised
of specially designed exercises to give greater
stability to the skeletal structure of the body
in a dynamic state.
DST reduces shock to the skeletal body by retraining
the body to activate the larger skeletal and small
postural muscles to lift and hold the body more
upright and redistribute shock and shearing forces
more evenly.
DST is meant to be gentle and provide stability
like Pilates, with dynamic rotational movements
like Gyrotonics machines, and the excitement and
group fun of an aerobics class.

Benefits of exercising DST
- Staying fit as an MBT user
- Improve customer use of MBT
- Better posture
- Improve gait pattern
- Tone "bums and tums"
- Develop proprioception and muscle awareness
- Reduce injury
- Rehabilitation and recovery from injury or
surgery
- Greater coordination and balance
- Excellent strength training and muscle toning
- Improve balance, coordination and reaction

How Much Can I earn
as a DST Instructor
A fully active DST Instructor can earn up to
£1000 per week, depending upon class type,
size, and frequency.
DST classes are designed, initially, for end
consumers of MBT to be able to obtain further
training in gait, posture, and exercise that go
beyond the exercises provided in the video, or
any brochures.
DST can serve customers who require more therapy
than exercise, by providing one-to-one or small
group sessions (1-3 people) where a DST Instructor
may charge from £10 - £45 per hour,
based on their rate as a trainer, therapist or
medical specialist.
DST can also serve customers who desire more
of a fitness workout by offering 3 classes in
a progressive series that cost from £7 -
£25 per class with 3 - 7 participants, depending
on room size and on duration and level of intensity.
Those classes are:
DST Basics of Walking
and Running
45min - 1hr £7 - £10/person
DST Basics of Stretching
and Toning
1hr - 1.30hr £10 - £20/person
DST Basic Workout
1 hr - 2 hr £10 - £25/person
It is recommended that each DST class be taught
in a series of two, with each class following
the other in a progression (for example, DST Basics
of Walking and Running is experienced twice before
DST Basics of Stretching and Toning, etc.)
DST classes can be experienced in a gym or studio
environment, or outside in a park. DST Instructors
also work on treadmills to improve their running
and jogging style (no bouncing) and can establish
groups who meet up to run and walk regularly using
MBTs. DST incorporates existing fitness equipment
like stability balls, bands, and proprioception
and balancing devices to further enhance the concept
of dynamic stability.
